I enjoy focusing on helping people do better at what they are doing. I like the challenge of addressing tough questions and situations we can sometimes find ourselves in, and my military buddies enjoyed my dry sense of humor in poking fun at myself when in rough situations. A General once asked me why I didn't seek the "Limelight" when speaking with me about highly successful projects I had spearheaded and implemented. My answer: "I'm more interested in making my projects a successful endeavor; If others jump in and steal credit for my work, that's ok! Why? Well, first I usually can’t do anything about it, and if it does happen, then I work very hard at making sure they can’t let it go. If I can do that, then I have done what I set out to do and more! – After all, once they have it, they have to keep working it, because I’m moving on” Leaders don't need to have a spotlight on them to be great... Inspiring others is a really...GOOD ... accomplishment, too!
